2007 Quarles Harris Vintage Port, 2007
Vintage port
An attractive floral nose, with brambly black fruit and hints of cloves and cigar box. The palate is concentrated, dense and sweet, with balancing acidity and a surprisingly ascetic tannic structure to underline seriousness of intent and to underwrite potential and longevity.
Reviews
Dark crimson. Pruney, superripe nose. Very very flattering and ripe and sumptuous - almost like a syrup! Thick and rich. This should wow lots of tasters in the early to mid term. Fine tannins tucked in on the finish. Not hot at all - really quite impressive.

Burmester Port, 2007
Vintage Port - Half Bottle 37.5cl
Special Offer | Was £39 | Now £29.95
This 2007 Burmester Vintage Port from the very good 2007 Port Vintage has outstanding provenance! This bottle has been stored at the Burmester cellars on Porto since bottling until it was acquired by us earlier this year.
The 2007 Burmester is a beautiful mature tawny colour. On the nose it has cocoa, chocolate together with a hint of mint. On the palate this is quite complex - medium bodied with a perfect balance between the acidity, tannins and flavours, there is a little spiciness in the mouth that adds to the experience. Long, long finish. This is in a good place and should hold well for a couple of decades. …

Chateau Batailley, 2007
Pauillac, 5th Growth Classification
The 2007 Batailley offers attractive pencil box and cedar scents on the nose, showing more black fruit than the Lynch Moussas, greater sense of purpose. The palate is medium-bodied with fine definition and pleasant weight in the mouth, focused and classic in style that is typical of this estate, and it finishes with satisfying details and persistence. This has long been a strong, perhaps underappreciated performer of the vintage. It is drinking now but it will continue to give pleasure over 10-15 years. Tasted February 2017.

Chateau Cantemerle, 2007
Haut Medoc 5th Growth
This is a very good fifth growth from a good 2007 vintage. Beautiful deep inky colour that is opaque against light. Easy drinking with early notes to graphite and chalk. It opens up nicely in the glass. It appears to me to be in the opening stage of the decades long drinking window.

Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou, 2007
St Julien 2me Cru Classe
This 2007 vintage Bordeaux wine from Ducru Beaucaillou was tasted blind at Farr Vintners Bordeaux tasting; it has a generous red cherry and wild strawberry bouquet armed with very good fruit concentration. The palate is medium-bodied, fleshy in the mouth with slightly lower acidity than its peers. Harmonious and velvety smooth, there is a fair amount of new oak here, but it is very well integrated with a caressing finish. It still has that Burgundian flair. This is excellent considering the growing season. Tasted March 2015.

Showing better than it did from cask, this soft, generous, dark ruby/purple-tinged 2007 exhibits sweet black currant fruit intermixed with cedar, roasted herbs, and subtle smoke. Chateauneuf du Pape, 2007
La Ferme du Mont, Châteauneuf du Pape Côtes Capelan
This outstanding Chateauneuf-du-Pape has scored an impressive 95+ points in critical reviews.
Reviews:
96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Outer quote mark The dense ruby/purple-colored, full-bodied 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Cotes Capelan is an outrageously rich, complex wine exhibiting beautiful creme de cassis, kirsch, licorice, forest floor, and spring flower-like aromas. It is fresh, voluptuous, and opulent in the mouth, but the fresh acids and vibrancy give it exceptional precision as well as a refreshing style despite its weight, richness, and length. This is a superb, young Chateauneuf du Pape from an up-and-coming star of the appellation. …

Churchill's Port, 2007
Vintage Port
90 Points (outstanding) Wine Advocate.
Coffee, lavender and rose add complexity to the intense blackberry nose; on the palate the Churchill is a bold and powerful wine with the floral notes continuing through to the marmalade spiked bramble fruit. Fresh acidity and grippy tannins give massive structure - this is a wine for the long term.
Reviews: "The 2007 Churchill Vintage Port offers up an expressive fragrance of blueberry compote and fruitcake. Residing in the background providing additional complexity are notes of violets, clove, and incense. This leads to a firm, structured, muscular Port with plenty of fruit for balance. …

Croft Port, 2007
Vintage Port MAGNUM
An outstanding 2007 Vintage Port Wine from Croft. Please note: this is a rare Magnum bottle of wine - 1.5 liters.
"There is a nice limpidity on this Croft 2007. It is not the power that strikes you but the purity with black cherries, liquorice, violets and a hint of iodine. Very tight and focused. The palate is full-bodied with chewy tannins on the entry, pure blackberry, raspberry, white pepper and Asian spice towards the finish. Very fine focus, very pure and harmonious. Sensuous finish but it just tapers away when I need more grip and assertiveness. Still, this is a lovely Croft." - Neil Martin, Wine Journal, 93/100 Points (Outstanding). …

Dow's Port, 2007
Vintage Port
The 2007 Vintage Port Wine from Dow's has received ***100 Points*** from Wine Spectator
This has a superb nose of rich, ripe berry fruit with the typical slightly austere and firm reserve of Dow. Analytically drier than usual, it is still blessed with dense fruit on the palate, a magnificent structure, weight and impressively long finish. On this showing, Dow is a strong candidate for wine of the vintage.

Klein Constandia Vin de Constance, 2007
Vin De Constance - Klein Constandia
Since being introduced in 1986, Vin de Constance has consistently appeared in lists of the world’s top wines. The 2007 vintage was recently awarded 97 points by Neal Martin of Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, making it the best rated South African sweet wine in history.
This vintage was one of the best of the decade, with a long, cool season ensuring concentrated flavours and aromatic intensity. A warm, dry late summer created perfect conditions for the raisining of our Muscat de Frontignan grapes whilst still on the vine.
After handpicking selected shriveled grapes, the berries are left to macerate on their skins for several days to soften, which facilitates the recovery of their golden juice with pressing. …

Quinta de Vargellas Vinha Velha
The 2007 Taylor Vargellas Vinha Velha is a more introverted Taylor’s Vintage, an earthy bouquet with touches of orange essence developing in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, good backbone, quite reserved and composed at the moment.
