Chateau Duhart Milon Rothschild, 2007
Pauillac 4th Growth Classification
*** 90 points - Robert Parker ***
Showing better than it did from cask, this soft, generous, dark ruby/purple-tinged 2007 exhibits sweet black currant fruit intermixed with cedar, roasted herbs, and subtle smoke. Round, hedonistic, and already complex, this blend of 73.5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 26.5% Merlot should drink well for a few more years.

Chateauneuf du Pape, 2007
La Ferme du Mont, Châteauneuf du Pape Côtes Capelan
This outstanding Chateauneuf-du-Pape has scored an impressive 95+ points in critical reviews.
Reviews:
96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Outer quote mark The dense ruby/purple-colored, full-bodied 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Cotes Capelan is an outrageously rich, complex wine exhibiting beautiful creme de cassis, kirsch, licorice, forest floor, and spring flower-like aromas. It is fresh, voluptuous, and opulent in the mouth, but the fresh acids and vibrancy give it exceptional precision as well as a refreshing style despite its weight, richness, and length. This is a superb, young Chateauneuf du Pape from an up-and-coming star of the appellation. …

Chateauneuf du Pape, 2007
Cuvee Juline, Domaine Paul Autard
94+ Points Robert Parker.
Reviews:
The 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Juline is a 50-50 blend of Grenache and Syrah that is fermented and aged in new oak. While very modern in orientation, given the huge concentration and fruit character in this vintage, this philosophy of winemaking and upbringing works far better in 2007 than it did in 2008. However, readers should be prepared for a wine that falls outside the normal parameters of Chateauneuf du Pape. It reveals plenty of vanillin, blackberry and cassis fruit intertwined with hints of espresso roast and smoke, deep, concentrated, full-bodied flavors, and lots of upside potential. …

Chateauneuf du Pape, 2007
Domaine de Ferrand
98 Points - Wine Advocate
Reviews
One of the wines of the vintage is the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape from Philippe Bravey, and I’ve drunk more than a case of this wine and have consistently rated it at the upper end of the spectrum (however, some bottles suffer from too much volatile acidity). Big, full-bodied, layered and unctuous, it has a huge nose of garrigue, black fruits, saddle leather and licorice. I absolutely love this wine and would happily drink bottles over the coming decade.

Churchill's Port, 2007
Vintage Port
90 Points (outstanding) Wine Advocate.
Coffee, lavender and rose add complexity to the intense blackberry nose; on the palate the Churchill is a bold and powerful wine with the floral notes continuing through to the marmalade spiked bramble fruit. Fresh acidity and grippy tannins give massive structure - this is a wine for the long term.
Reviews: "The 2007 Churchill Vintage Port offers up an expressive fragrance of blueberry compote and fruitcake. Residing in the background providing additional complexity are notes of violets, clove, and incense. This leads to a firm, structured, muscular Port with plenty of fruit for balance. …

Croft Port, 2007
Vintage Port MAGNUM
An outstanding 2007 Vintage Port Wine from Croft. Please note: this is a rare Magnum bottle of wine - 1.5 liters.
"There is a nice limpidity on this Croft 2007. It is not the power that strikes you but the purity with black cherries, liquorice, violets and a hint of iodine. Very tight and focused. The palate is full-bodied with chewy tannins on the entry, pure blackberry, raspberry, white pepper and Asian spice towards the finish. Very fine focus, very pure and harmonious. Sensuous finish but it just tapers away when I need more grip and assertiveness. Still, this is a lovely Croft." - Neil Martin, Wine Journal, 93/100 Points (Outstanding). …

Dow's Port, 2007
Vintage Port
The 2007 Vintage Port Wine from Dow's has received ***100 Points*** from Wine Spectator
This has a superb nose of rich, ripe berry fruit with the typical slightly austere and firm reserve of Dow. Analytically drier than usual, it is still blessed with dense fruit on the palate, a magnificent structure, weight and impressively long finish. On this showing, Dow is a strong candidate for wine of the vintage.

Fonseca Port, 2007
Vintage Port
96/100 (Outstanding) Wine journal
94/100 (Outstanding) Wine Advocate
Reviews: "The 2007 Fonseca Vintage Port is opaque purple-colored with a high-class perfume of lavender, Asian spices, pencil lead, incense, and an amalgam of black fruits. On the palate it is voluminous with layered, succulent fruit, outstanding density, and excellent integration of tannin, acidity, and alcohol. The long finish and the wine’s impeccable balance suggest a lengthy evolution and a drinking window extending out to 2045. " Jay Miller, Wine Advocate.

Klein Constandia Vin de Constance, 2007
Vin De Constance - Klein Constandia
Since being introduced in 1986, Vin de Constance has consistently appeared in lists of the world’s top wines. The 2007 vintage was recently awarded 97 points by Neal Martin of Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, making it the best rated South African sweet wine in history.
This vintage was one of the best of the decade, with a long, cool season ensuring concentrated flavours and aromatic intensity. A warm, dry late summer created perfect conditions for the raisining of our Muscat de Frontignan grapes whilst still on the vine.
After handpicking selected shriveled grapes, the berries are left to macerate on their skins for several days to soften, which facilitates the recovery of their golden juice with pressing. …

Quinta de Vargellas Vinha Velha
The 2007 Taylor Vargellas Vinha Velha is a more introverted Taylor’s Vintage, an earthy bouquet with touches of orange essence developing in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, good backbone, quite reserved and composed at the moment. This is not a flamboyant Vinha Velha, but there is a very attractive, slightly biscuity quality towards the finish. Superb. The Vinha Vehla are five plots located in the heart of Quinta de Vargellas. The vines being between 80 and 120 years of age. Strict selection has led to a wine of stunning complexity, power and richness. This is one that will be at its peak 50 years hence. …

Now under full control of the Moueix family, with Christian Moueix's son Edouard managing the estate, and their new technical director Eric Murisasco is making the wine.
In 2006 the Moueix family did not own the estate outright, but did have some influence, and the 2006 is certainly a good effort, with notes of kirsch liqueur, crushed rock, and some subtle herbs. (Robert Parker - Wine Advocate - Apr 05)

"This is an impressive showing for Gruaud-Larose under blind conditions. It has a reserved, cedar, leafy nose with good definition and poise with good lift – very Pauillac in style with the Cabernet driving it along. The palate is full-bodied, very well balanced with good acidity. Firm tannins, ripe and elegant, very well poised on the briary finish. Charming. Tasted January 2010." Neil Martin, Wine Journal.

Dom Perignon, 2006
Champagne in Presentation Case
"The wine’s opulence – contained and succulent, round at heart – reveals itself in the mouth". The envelope slides and stretches, and the wine becomes more complex and edgy, silkier than it is creamy. "The whole eventually melts into an exquisite bitterness tinged with the briny taste of the sea".
ON THE NOSE
The immediate impression is of the mildness of the pure, airy, bright bouquet. A floral, fruity pastel tone then unfolds and quickly darkens into candied fruit, ripe hay and toasted notes, along with hints of licorice.
