We are delighted to exclusively offer Burmester wines and Ports. J.W. Burmester is a prestigious shipper with a history that can be traced back to 1730 when it was founded in London by Henry Burmester and John Nash. In 1750 they moved to Vila Nova de Gaia in Portugal to import Port to Britian. You can read more about the history of this historic brand here.
Nowadays, Burmester is part of the Sogevinous group (owners of Kopke and Calem) and is renowned for its historical collection of colheita Port as well as a strong line of Vintage Port mostly originating from its main Quinta - Arnozelo. Vintage Wine and Port are delighted to reintroduce this brand to the UK market after a long absence.
