Chateau Cissac, 2019
Medoc, Cru Bourgeois
Magnum 1.5L
A 2019 vintage Bordeaux wine. This is the beauty of decent Cru Bourgeois Bordeaux if stored well - it makes demands on the taster (patience and consideration). Not a wine from those who prefer to 'pop and pour' who miss out on most of the quality and character.
The 2019 has a good rich colour. There is great concentration and intensity of fruit due to reduced yields. The structure is well complemented by the vibrant juiciness of the fruit.

Chateau Quinault l'Enclos, 2018
St Emilion Grand cru
*** 94 Points- Decanter ****
*** 93 Points - Wine Advocate ***
The 2018 Quinault L'Enclos is an impressive wine rated in the outstanding category: a subtle blend of floral, mineral and spicy notes. Already very elegant and fine, one is tempted to taste it immediately, but a few years in the cellar will make it even more delicious!
"The 2018 is a magnificent wine, very impressive. It pulses with energy from start to finish. The aromas alone are simply captivating" - Antonio Galloni -
"The quality of the terroir continues to impress" - Robert Parker - Château Quinault L'Enclos is one of the last estates located in an urban area, in the heart of Livorno. …

A 2017 vintage Bordeaux wine. This is the beauty of decent Cru Bourgeois Bordeaux if stored well - it makes demands on the taster (patience and consideration). Not a wine from those who prefer to 'pop and pour' who miss out on most of the quality and character.
The 2017 has a good rich colour - browning just a little at the rim. This bottle demands patience when opening as it needs time to develop. Good blackcurrant nose. Plum, damson on the palate with balancing blackcurrant acidity. Dusty tannins on the end palate at first but the tannin softened in the glass, even without food. With food it is excellent. …

Chateau Duhart Milon Rothschild, 2016
Pauillac 4th Growth Classification, Bordeaux
93 Points - Wine Advocate
Duhart Milon 2016. The Rothschilds are making enormous investments in this estate. This Pauillac is produced by the team who make Lafite, and it has been on top form in recent vintages, receiving impressive scores from the critics. This is the smart buy from this producer as it is invariably half the price of Carruades Lafite but of higher quality.
Reviews:
The 2016 Duhart-Milon has an unusually opulent bouquet for a Pauillac, offering blackberry, raspberry coulis, sage and light cedar aromas. The medium-bodied palate offers fine tannins and well-judged acidity, though overall it comes across a little conservative and does not quite deliver the flair and finesse of the appellation’s top crus. …

Chateau Marquis D'Alesme-Becker, 2016
Margaux 3rd Growth Classification, Bordeaux
The 2016 Marquis d'Alsme Becker is pouring deep brick red, the delicate aroma of dark forest fruit tells you that you have a Margaux in your hand. Full bodied, but not heavy, this is a complex blend of grapes and flavours that has nothing going against it. Not as harsh as some Margaux’s are, this wine needs to be savoured in the mouth to explore its full taste.

Barsac, Sweet White Wine, Bordeaux
***95-97 Points - The Wine Advocate***
This 2015 sweet white wine from Barsac is 100% Semillon this year, and retains a lovely freshness. Textured and with plenty of noble rot in evidence, it displays notes of orange peel and apricots. Intense and scented with a finish that goes on and on.
"Wow. This is really impressive with a fabulous density and style. So much mushroom, almond and dried apple, apricot character. Fresh and bright. Joyous." James Suckling - 96 points

Domaine de Chevalier, 2015
Graves Pessac-Leogan, Bordeaux ***95 Points- Robert Parker's- Wine Advocate*** ***17/20 Points- JancisRobinson.com***
Olivier Bernard has transformed Domaine de Chevalier during his tenure. In the early days, an ambitious re-planting program was undertaken, which took many years before the fruits of his labours could be enjoyed. Now the estate is in superb health and it seems that Olivier can turn out a great red and white, vintage after vintage. The 2015 is gorgeous; a profound yet reserved Domaine de Chevalier that reveals itself slowly. Initially it is understated with notes of smoky cassis. As it opens up, it displays damsons and raspberry liqueur fruit. It is subtle wine of charm and sophistication with a latent power that will help it to age gracefully for decades. …

Chateau Lamothe-Cissac, 2014
Haut Medoc
Chateau Lamothe-Cissac lies mere moments from the prestigious estates of Lafite and Latour, sharing their hallowed grounds and climate, only without the eye watering price tag they carry.
Dark garnet towards purple in color, with on the nose green pepper, foliage, cassis and tobacco. Medium, perhaps medium to full-bodied, with on the palate somewhat astringent notes of under-ripe black forest fruit, black tea, a touch of tobacco with medium-plus acidity and firm, searing tannins highlighting some notes of bitter chocolate on the moderately long finish.

Domaine de Chevalier, 2014
Graves Pessac-Leogan
***93 points- Wine Advocate***
The Domaine de Chevalier 2014 is a blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot and 30% Merlot. It has a fragrant bouquet with blackberry, black plum, cigar ash and woodland scents, complex though not as intense as its white counterpart. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy, quite firm tannin that underpin a classic Domaine de Chevalier that has just the right amount of austerity at this stage. Reserved perhaps, but it is beautifully knitted together with a lovely bay leaf tinged finish. Quintessential Domaine de Chevalier...which is what we all want. Neal Martin- Wine Advocate- Aug 201 …

Chateau Cos d'Estournel, 2013
St Estephe, 2nd Growth Classification
92 Points - The Wine Advocate
Powered by its structure and texture, this complex wine is dense, structured and firm. Plenty of dry and taut tannins dominate at this stage, but it is also full of fruit. The wine will age over many years while not being one of those vintages that will mature forever: the fruitiness will see to that. Drink this impressive wine from 2025.

Chateau Haut Batailley, 2010
Pauillac 5th Growth Classification *** 92+ Points Neal Martin ***
The name of "Batailley" would come from the "Battle" which took place in 1453 between the French and the English on the lands of the future domain; with the reconquest of Château Latour by the French, this year saw the end of the Hundred Years War. Château Batailley is one of the oldest residences in the town of Pauillac.
Vines have been planted on this land rich in history since the 17th century. In 1855, Château Batailley was classified in the Fifth Grand Cru category of the Médoc.

Chateau Cantemerle, 2009
Haut Medoc 5me Cru Classe
This Bordeaux has bags of fruit, tannin and acidity, all tied up in an impeccably-balanced, polished package. Sweet cassis fruit is accompanied by a spicy edge and a long, fresh lift. This is very pretty now but ideally wants another five years to really get going, and will easily keep for another five after that.

Tasting Notes Magnificent. Deep gold colour and with air rich open nose of lanolin, candle wax, dried orange peel, citrus fruits, crisp apples, floral notes of rose, dried tubers, dried faded potpourri over zesty bright pineapple. Good level of acidity balances the sweetness beautifully. Medium weight complete and wonderfully balanced.

Chateau Dauzac, 2009
Margaux 5th Growth Classification

Has Dauzac ever made a wine this good? Deep ruby/purple, with notes of graphite and black currants followed by some spicy oak and licorice in a creamy, plump succulent texture that almost reminds me of a Right Bank wine, this 2009 is full-throttle, dense and super-concentrated. It is an amazing Dauzac. Drink it over the next 25 years. Drink: 2012 - 2037

Chateau Duhart Milon Rothschild, 2009
Pauillac 4th Growth Classification
*** 97 Points - Robert Parker ***
A blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon and 37% Merlot, it displays an inky/blue/purple color as well as a big, sweet nose of creme de cassis, forest floor, licorice, lead pencil, cedar and subtle barrique smells. Viscous and full-bodied, it is the most concentrated and broadest example of this cuvee I have tasted in over three decades. It will be ready to drink in 5-7 years and should last for three decades or more. Consumers looking to maximize value should be checking out Duhart Milon, as this may be the single smartest purchase in this great and historic vintage!
Since few consumers other than Chinese billionaires can afford wines such as Lafite Rothschild, …
