The name Tokaji (which is of Protected Designation of Origin) is used for labelling wines from this wine district. The location of the region has a unique climate, beneficial to this particular viniculture, due to the protection of the nearby mountains, long warm autumns and mists that come in from the River Bodrog, creating perfect conditions for noble rot. Creating the botrytised ('aszú') grapes for which the region is famous. …

POLEY PALO CORTADO "En Rama"
Montilla-Moriles 25 Year Old
50cl Bottle
93 Points - Robert Parker 's Wine Advocate
Palo Cortado is a rare type of "sherry-style" wine that is initially aged under flor to become a fino or amontillado, but inexplicably loses its veil of flor and begins aging oxidatively as an oloroso. The result is a wine with some of the richness of oloroso and some of the crispness of amontillado.
Tasting Notes Amber colour with copper and greenish reflections. Very intense aroma with tobacco leaves, wood and spices like pepper and clove aromas, notes of citrus peel and fine pastries. Nuts like walnut or hazelnut nuances. On the palate it is dry, but mouth-filling, well-defined acidity that disappears to leave room for a saline sensation. …

Torricella, 1976
Trebbiano, Zuliani Emilio
The Trebbiano della Torricella 1976 Zuliani Emilio is a rare historic white wine from central Italy, produced in a traditional style typical of older Trebbiano-based winemaking. The 1976 vintage is now fully mature and evolved, showing a clear tertiary profile. The nose opens with aromas of dried apple, candied citrus peel, chamomile, hay, almond skin, and subtle honeyed notes. With aeration, deeper nuances of wax, dried herbs, and earthy undertones may emerge. …

Tuke Holdsworth, 1920
Vintage Port, DOC Douro
The *1920 Tuke Holdsworth Vintage Port* is an exceptionally rare fortified wine from one of the Douro’s classic early 20th-century vintages, bottled by the historic British Port shipper Tuke Holdsworth. Now over a century old, it represents a remarkable survival from the golden era of traditional Port-making—crafted entirely by hand, foot-trodden in granite lagares, and built to mature gracefully for generations. Bottles of this age and provenance are incredibly scarce, making this a true collector’s treasure.
In the glass, it would likely display a deep tawny-brown core with olive-green highlights at the rim, a signature of great maturity in vintage Port. …

Tuke Holdsworth, 1924
Vintage Port
Tuke Holdsworth was the brand name of the old shipper Hunt Roope & Teage, the former owners of Quinta da Eira Velha. The company was sold to Ferreira in 1956 but the quinta was retained by the family and from that point it supplied wines to Martinez and Cockburn.
Quinta da Eira Velha is one of the oldest estates in the Douro Valley. It is believed that vines have been cultivated at Eira Velha for over 600 years. The vineyard and buildings occupy a southeast-facing slope between 160 and 390 meters above the confluence of the Douro River with its tributary, the Pinhão River.
In 1893 it was purchased by the prominent Port wine merchant Cabel Roope. …
