Full-bodied, ripe, textured and decadently styled, it gives up tons of chocolatey dark fruits, minerality, spice and licorice aromas and flavors. Saturated ruby. Sexy raspberry liqueur and garrigue aromas are complicated by fresh flowers and cracked pepper. Rich and velvety, with deep cherry and red berry flavors and an impressively expansive finish. The tannins here are extremely fine and add gentle structure while letting the suave fruit take the lead. Refuses to let go of the palate. (JR) (1/2008)
