The 2010 Chataeuneuf du Pape wine from Les Chapoins is a profound, smokey, leathery nose with an intriguing aromatic note like sandalwood. Beautiful palate with a gorgeous, silky texture, and a very sweet impression. Intense, wonderfully scented Châteauneuf-du-Pape. . As expected for wines of this area, the alcohol is up around 14.5% but this is still a remarkably versatile food wine.
