The 2000 Moulin Haut Villars is a classic Bordeaux blend with nice aromas of fresh red fruit and violets; the flavours follow the aromas, pretty round and juicy, the fruit is still youthful and the acidity brings out a bright quality.This is a nice food wine.
The 1997 Quinta de la Rosais a vintage port with great complexity. On the nose it displays attractive red fruit and sweet spicy notes. On the palate it is filled with luscious forward fruit and a long lingering finish. This certainly has the structure that you would expect with a port from a fully declared year.
