Powerful, racy nose with very complex aromas of spices, an ethereal peaty quality like a single malt. Notes of almond, walnut with a citrus zest. Tasting Notes: The Palmer 10 Year tawny has a clear, medium tawny colour feathering to a pale orange rim. Dried orange peel, light brown sugar, maraschino cherry, and baking yeast aromas, anise, soft baking spice, and crushed earthy rock flavours. Medium body, bright acidity, and a softly sweet burnt sugar and cherry liquor finish with a hint of citrus and spice. Good long finish starting with a little heat before the flavours take over. Wine Makers Notes Offley 2018 has deep colour, almost opaque. Aromas of good intensity and complexity, with floral and balsamic notes together with heather, resin, red berries and a light spice. On the palate it has good volume, lively acidity, firm tannins, red berries and black fruits, with a very long, harmonious finish.

Serving Tips & Storage When mature this port will need to be decanted to remove sediment. Serve at room temperature on its own or with steak and blue cheese sauce or vintage mature blue cheeses such as stilton Cashel Blue, Roquefort, Gorgonzola and Saint Augur Blue.

Tasting notes:
With a well-defined tawny hue with orange-like hints, its aroma is intense and complex, with notes of vanilla, cinnamon, pepper, ginger, exotic wood, cedar, plum and hazel. On the palate, its fine structure and balance between sugars and tannins stand out. the finish is delicate and lingering.

Production method:
Hand-picked grapes undergo stalk-removal and crushing before fermentation, under controlled temperature, with skin maceration. The addition of wine alcohol at the ideal moment sets the balance between the wine's body and bouquet. Ageing in wooden casks in the cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia, the final blend results from a selection of wines between 15 and 40 years.

This 2016 Late bottled Vintage Port Wine from Offley is deep ruby in colour. The Offley Porto Vintage 2011 Port Wine is produced from Quinta da Boavista and other vineyards in the Pinhão area. Sogrape describes it as: "A wine with an extremely intense colour. Boa Vista is the jewel in the Offley Forrester crown, which is one of the oldest Port Houses (1737) and rose to prominence under Joseph Forrester.
