Cockburn Port, 2015

Vintage Port- MAGNUM, Douro
Includes Cockburn Wooden Presentation Case
***94 Points-James Suckling***

This 2015 Vintage Port Wine is only the second Cockburn’s vintage Port made by the Symington family since it acquired the brand name from Beam in 2010, having bought the vineyards and cellars in 2006. Its declaration of a 2015 vintage Port is the latest in a number of innovations and investment to mark the company’s bicentenary, with the brand having been founded in 1815. Up until the 1950's Cockburn’s was one of the Douro’s leading Port producers, with its Ports commanding some of the highest prices at international wine auctions. However its rapid expansion into the mass market in the second half of the century served to damage its reputation for fine wines.

Cockburn Port, Non Vintage

Cockburn Quinta dos Canais Mixed Pack
Presentation case containing 2000, 2004 and 2007 Vintages.

All 75 cl bottles.

Cockburn's Quinta dos Canais is a traditional, terraced Upper Douro quinta that has been producing superior wines for over 100 years. The property has consistently provided the grapes that become the backbone of Cockburn's declared vintages. Considered the "jewel in the crown," the property was purchased in 1989, and consists of some 740 acres (300 hectares) of vineyards on the north bank of the Douro. The plantings here face south, and therefore benefit from long hours of sunlight. Under the regional classification system, the vineyard has been awarded the highest possible rating.

De La Motte Fine Petite Champagne 1914

Believed 1914.

A bottle of Petite Champagne cognac distilled in the same year as the breakout of World War I. This old brandy was produced by De La Motte, located in Sainte-Lheurine. Cognac

Chairman's Exceedingly Old and Rare Champagne Cognac

This ultra rare cognac was imported by Eldridge Pope & Co., a traditional UK brewer based in Dorchester, Dorset, established in 1837. The brewery closed in July 2003.

The cognac is believed to be bottled by A. Hardy as Eldridge and Pope were sourcing their cognac from this historic producer.

With a history dating back to 1863, Cognac Hardy is well known for quality cognacs and traditional production methods. Passed down throughout the generations, this family house of cognac, which can be recognized by its rooster logo, was one of the very first to embrace the spoils of a worldwide distribution network.
