Since then it is the second generation, spearheaded by Giorgio Rivetti, that has put La Spinetta on the map with the development of vineyards and estates, talented winemaking and an endless desire to try new things.

La Spinetta, 2014

La Spinetta - Barolo Campè, Piedmont

"This opens with aromas of toasted oak, weedy underbrush, crushed dill and a whiff of camphor. The firm palate is on the lean side, evoking tobacco leaf, star anise, powdered sage, oak and roasted coffee bean but it lacks fruit. Drying astringent tannins grip the close. " - Kerin O’Keefe

"The 2013 Barbaresco Gallina Vürsù offers a tight brickwork of aromas with toned muscle and solid build at the back. The bouquet shows profound tones of dark fruit, spice, leather, tobacco, crushed stone and tar. La Spinetta's signature style, with more pronounced aromas, is very much on display in this wine."
