The 2014 La Perlara is a delicious sweet wine, bright golden in colour. Intensely perfumed with floral notes and hints of sultanas, dried figs, nuts and spices. Richly sweet and lingering in the mouth.

La Perlara Recioto di Soave is made from a selection of the best grapes from Ca'Rugate's vineyards in Brognoligo di Monteforte d'Alpone. The grapes are allowed to dry gently in well ventilated rooms for around 6-7 months, concentrating their flavours and sweetness. In spring the dried grapes are pressed and fermented in barrel with natural yeast then allowed to mature in wood for 10-12 months.

The "Germano Ettore" estate lies on one of the most important crus of Serralunga d'Alba named "Cerretta", a hill with a wide winegrowing area facing South, South-West. Germano?s 6.6 hectares of vineyards are dedicated to the cultivation of grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Barbera, Dolcetto and Nebbiolo, while a smaller area is reserved to the experimental cultivation of Riesling and the indigenous white grape Nascetta. Originally Ettore and his father Alberto owned nearly 3 hectares of vineyards, which through subsequent purchases have reached the current extension. They used to sell their production to other winemakers but in 1975 they began the vinification of a small amount of grapes.

The vineyards are situated two in La Morra and one in Monforte.
Classical Guyot method with medium-short pruning is the method used; the vineyard are three, two with west exposure and one south with medium slope. Green harvest with reduction of grapes with a production per hectare around 6500 kg.
Nebbiolo grape are harvested very ripe with a meticulous selection; the fermentation took place in stainless steel vats with temperature controlled. The fermentation is around 33-34°C with 15-20 days of maceration ; malolattic fermentation took place spontaneously in stainless steel vats.
After malolattic fermentation the wine stay for 30 in big barrels of 2500 liters
The wine is bottled and refined for 10-12 month.

The 2013 Gagliasso - Rocche dell'Annunciata Barolo is a classic full bodied wine with dominant strawberry aromas on the nose and rich well integrated tannins.
It is produced from 3 different vineyards in La Morra, two of 55 years old and one of 32. The grapes are harvested very ripe and are meticulously selected before winemaking begins. The wine is matured for 12 months in French barrels, 50% of which are new oak giving smooth vanilla and smokey, toast flavours and 50% are 2 years old allowing for softening of tannins and better flavour integration. These factions are then blended in large barrels and further matured for 18 months before being bottled and held back in the winery for another 10-12 months of bottle maturation.

Late Bottled Vintage Port

The 2013 Burmester Late Bottled Vintage Port has aromas that are delicate and varied, with plenty of tropical fruit, berries and grapes fully ripe. In its evolution are noticeable aromas of cocoa, chocolate and a slight toasted wood. The palate is dense and opaque.

Winemaking:
In similar fashion to the Vintage, Late Bottled Vintage is produced in the traditional manner, thus gaining a more rustic and tougher character. It is aged in the Vila Nova de Gaia cellars in enormous oak vats in order to preserve its deep colour and fresh fruit flavours, gaining a closed and fruity character. It is bottled between the fourth and fifth spring after harvest.

In 1895, Jacques Mondon, a lawyer in Pauillac, acquired several vineyards in the parish of Cissac-Medoc. He combined these different vineyards under the name of Chateau Cissac. In 1940 Louis Vialard inherited the property from his grandparents Mondon and he set about the task of restoring the vineyards and the outbuildings as well as the family home.

The 2013 Graham´s Late Bottled Vintage Port (LBV) is a superb wine, selected from the finest production of a very good year. Whereas vintage Port spends two years in casks and then matures in bottle, LBV is matured in seasoned oak and then bottled at between four and six years of age; hence the term, ‘Late Bottled’. Its ageing process encourages the wine’s development; at the time of bottling it is therefore ready for drinking without the need for decanting.

Crusted Port derives its name from the fact that, exactly like Vintage Port, it will throw a 'crust' or natural deposit as it matures in bottle.
